Amman Chamber
Sofia - Petra

The Amman Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Jordan Europe Business Association (JEBA), represented by its President, Issa Hayder Murad, signed an agreement and two memoranda of understanding on Saturday with Bulgarian institutions to develop ties between the two countries.

The agreement was signed between the Amman chambers and the Bulgarian Agency for the promotion of small and medium enterprises, in a bid to boost economic and trade relations and exchanges of information on economic, trade laws and regulations, as well as on tariffs in both countries.

Under the agreement, the three parties shall provide assistance in the organization of conferences, workshops, exchanges of trade delegations and mission visits, as well as assistance in organizing and promoting exhibitions in both countries.

The agreement also calls for regular meetings among members of the three parties to take the necessary measures to carry out the agreement and emphasize the important role of the Jordanian consulate in Bulgaria in facilitating exchanges of information and strengthening trade ties between them.

Also, a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency and JEBA was signed to improve cooperation between the two parties.

Meanwhile, a Jordanian delegation representing various trade and industrial sectors began a visit to Bulgaria on Wednesday to discuss boosting trade and investment ties between the two countries.

During the visit, the delegation held talks with a number of Bulgarian ministers and officials on developing the ability to forge closer economic, trade and investment ties between Jordan and the east European nation.
