A trade ties with India
Tehran - FNA

Head of the Joint Council of Iran-India Traders Ebrahim Jamili said that Iran's technical and production capabilities and India's large market have persuaded the country's traders to boost exports of commodities and engineering services to India.
“Iran-India trade ties have risen comparing to the past, but we have more opportunities given large Indian potentials for imports and exports,” the Iranian official said.
He also stressed signing a preferential trade agreement with India, saying that the agreement can improve Iran’s presence in Indian markets.
Jamili referred to increased construction activities in India, saying that Iranian technical and engineering companies’ presence in India could be an appropriate non-oil item for Iran in Indian market.
He reiterated that Iran can provide India with its cement, agricultural fertilizers, iron ore, and petrochemicals.
Iran and India which have deep historical and cultural relations are now seeking to further expand ties in various domains.
India, the world's fourth-largest petroleum consumer, is Iran's second largest oil customer after China and purchases around $12bln worth of Iranian crude every year, about 12 percent of its consumption.
Iran is a rich country in terms of natural resources, and India enjoys advanced agriculture and computer industry.
Combination of Iran and India capabilities and capacities can flourish both sides' economies.
