Fifty-seven ships transited the Suez Canal on Wednesday, with a total cargo of about 3.1 million tons.

The south-bound convoy included 22 vessels carrying 1.2 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 35 ships carrying 1.9 million tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority.
