Minister of Petroleum Tareq el Mulla inked three petroleum agreements of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) with three companies from Italy, Britain and France to search for natural gas and petroleum and dig six new wells in northern Ras el Esh, northern el Hammad and northern el Tabia in the Mediterranean with a total investment of $220 million.

The companies are IEOC, British Petroleum and Total.

The oil sector inked 73 agreements for oil and gas exploration with international companies within the past three years.
