YASREF Refinery produces 400,000 barrels of clean fuel per day

Intensive preparations are currently conducting for the opening of Yanbu-Aramco Sinopec Refinery (YASREF), as well as the Center of King Abdullah for Petroleum and Research Studies as scheduled to launch officially the start signal of work for the refinery, following its trial operation early last year.

"YASREF " refinery works with a refining capacity of 400,000 barrels per day focusing on high-quality clean fuels being used in transportation means.

In January 2015, the first shipment amounting to 300,000 barrels of clean diesel fuel was transferred successfully scoring a record time since the signing of the joint venture in the month of January 2012 and designing of facilities , construction, start-up and delivery of products.

The refinery produces a list of products including 90,000 barrels of gasoline per day, 236,000 barrels of diesel per day with an ultra low sulfur content, 6,200 metric tons of petroleum coke per day, 1,200 metric tons of sulfur per day, and 140,000 tons of gasoline annually.
