The Council of Ministers, chaired by the First Vice - President of the Republic, Lt. Gen. Bakri Hassan Salih, has approved a recommendation of the Minister of Finance on reduction of the import tax on edible oil from 40% to 10%.
This was announced by the spokesman of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Omer Mohamed Salih, in a press statement.
He explained that the import tax reduction includes all kinds of edible oil.
He said that the reduction of the import tax is expected to contribute to reducing the edible oil prices.
