Sarfraz and Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab have recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for promoting trade and tourism between Oman and Pakistan. The MoU is aimed at strengthening cooperation in tourism, culture and extending investment opportunities, broaden and expand relations between the two organisations. These include cooperation in facilitating travel and tourist visits, strengthening partnership in tourism, enhancing mutual assistance of human resource development for the tourism sector and taking necessary steps for exploring new avenues of cooperation and sharing of information. The ceremony was held at Alflaj Hotel attended by Pakistani business community members, including bankers, industrialist and Pakistan embassy officials represented by Deputy Head of Mission K.K. Ahsan Wagan. Deputy President of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ayman Al Hasani was the guest of honour, who appreciated the efforts of Syed Aftab Gilani, who was instrumental in promoting bilateral trade between Pakistan and Oman.  Gilani in his welcome address emphasised the need for further strengthening the relations between the two countries in the field of trade, tourism and culture.
