Naval troops foil attempt to smuggle 5 tons of marijuana near Hurghada coast

Naval troops have foiled an attempt to smuggle five tons of marijuana near the city of Hurghada.
The troops acted upon a tip-off that a number of criminals were planning to smuggle the marijuana on a fishing boat near the coast of Hurghada.
The troops detected and searched a boat in front of el Gaftoun island and found 95 sacks of marijuana on board.
No persons were on the boat.
The troops towed the boat to Hurghada Port and handed over the seized marijuana to bodies concerned.
