The Ministry of Petroleum on Thursday announced a new price list for fuel products that will be effective as of Friday, November 4. 

According to the ministry's statement, the lowest value Octane 80 will increase to EGP2.35 per liter. 

The higher value Octane 92 will increase to EGP3.5 per liter while diesel price will hike to EGP2.35 per liter. 

The highest value Octane 95 will remain, but liberalized, at the same price of EGP6.25 per liter, the statement said. 

In the meantime, the car gas prices will rise by 45.5 percent to EGP1.6 per liter.

A letter was sent to all fuel stations nationwide to start dealing under the new prices as of Friday at 12:00 a.m.
