Low-income citizens not to be affected by income tax law

Deputy Finance Minister for tax policies Amr el Mounir on Sunday stressed that there is no intention to amend the income tax law in a way that may affect low-income citizens.
Some economic sectors need legislative amendments as regards tax treatments after conducting relevant studies, Mounir said in statements.
The 2016 tax revenues are deemed great achievement in comparison with the previous years, the deputy minister noted, highlighting the positive indices reported during the Q1 of the current FY.
