Labour Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan (R)
Manama - BNA

Labour Minister Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan said the ministry continues to implement various labour market infrastructure development projects.
Projects include the ongoing Vocational Standards, Qualifications and Certification (VSQC) and the Labour Market Observatory (LMO) projects.
The LMO will provide accurate data and indices related to the labour market, future trends in training and education, curbing unemployment and curtailing the gap between education and training output and determining the actual needs of the labour market.

The minister said unemployment is the worst plague of societies. The ministry intensifies its programmes and activities to boost the level of awareness in young educational output who actively join the labour market. Vital promising technical and vocational sectors create remunerative jobs and professional development opportunities to efficient individuals.

The minister told Bahrain News Agency (BNA) the projects in which the ministry is proactively involved include projects aimed to serve new entrants in the present labour market, provide suitable job opportunities to qualified or unqualified applicants, find solutions and create programmes which will help assimilate them in the labour market and prevent soaring unemployment.
