Director of The Public Authority for Applied Education and Training Dr. Ahmad Al-Atheri emphasized in a press conference on Thursday the importance of workplace safety.
He said the Authority will be hosting a conference next March on workplace safety in the industrial sector, noting that productivity increased with more safety on the job and urging all public and private sector employers to provide maximum safety for their workers.
The upcoming conference on safety is scheduled to discuss a number of work papers on industrial safety with special reference to the oil industry, said chief of the organizing committee of the conference Dr. Jamal Al-Saeedi, in remarks at the press conference today.
