Imported fish
Kuwait - KUNA

Deputy Director-General for Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAF) Faisal Al-Hasawi said Wednesday that the Authority has established a center in Doha port to monitor fish imports.
The center aims to examine imported shipments of fish to ensure safety, he said in a statement, adding that the traders importing the fish must present health certificates, apply safety conditions in terms of packaging and transportation.
These controls and requirements will contribute significantly to reducing illegal fish imports, he added. Moreover, they will ensure quality and safety of fish and shrimps and protect the products from damage during transportation, which will contribute to offering fish in the local markets with suitable quantities, prices and high quality.
