Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro met here today the Chairman of the Singaporean Company "MTQ" Kuah Kok Kim, in the presence of Under-Secretary for Industrial Affairs at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce Osama Mohammed Al Arayedh.
The Minister said that Bahrain's government welcomes all regional and international investment projects, businessmen and investors from all around the world to work and stay in Bahrain.
He pointed out that Bahrain hosts top companies and international investment, highlighting the infrastructure and capabilities provided by the government for the projects that upgrades the national economy and promote Bahrain's reputation as a business hub and strategic center for trade and international services.
MTQ Oilfield Services was established in Salman Industrial City at Bahrain International Investment Park (BIIP) on June 2009, and it is a wholly owned subsidiary of "MTQ Corporation Limited" and listed on the Singapore Exchange.
"MTQ" business field is the provision of services and modernisation of equipment used in oil fields in platforms managed by the oil and gas industries.
Kuah Kok Kim expressed his sincere appreciation for the exerted efforts by Bahrain's governments, represented in the provision of facilitated procedures for various trade and investment establishments, highlighting MTQ future plans on the short and long run aiming consolidate its investment in Bahrain and taking it as its permanent headquarters.
