Egyptians consider Suez Canal lifeline

Tarek Hassanein, Suez Canal authority spokesman, said that Egyptians are interested in Suez Canal as a lifeline.
"This interest comes by nature," Hassanein said during a symposium organized by Suez Canal Authority.
Egypt is in need of major economic projects to provide job opportunities for youths, he stressed.
He praised a move by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to launch the new Suez Canal project at the current stage.
