Egypt, Transport minister denies rumors about cabinet approval to increase subway ticket prices

Spokesman for the Transport Ministry Ahmed Ibrahim has denied rumors posted on some websites pertaining to a cabinet approval to increase prices of subway tickets.
In statements Monday, Ibrahim asserted that Transport Minister Saad el Geyoushi had not refer the issue of increasing the prices of metro tickets to the cabinet.
Geyoushi said that such increase will only by applied after improving the service, Ibrahim added.
