Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker

The state has provided 483 billion pounds to establish three giant power stations in Egypt in the past period, without the nuclear power plant, Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker said on Wednesday.

Shaker made the statement during the launch of a number of projects in the new Administrative Capital in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

Commenting on Shaker's speech, Sisi said the Egyptian people should by aware that these power projects include electrical grids, transformers and power stations.

He stressed that the power projects come as part of efforts exerted by the state to provide a high-quality electricity service for citizens
