The First Vice - President of the Republic and National Prime Minister, Lt. Gen. Bakri Hassan Salih, will visit Wednesday the Gezira State to inaugurate a number of development and services projects and to attend a conference of the national congress in the state.
In a press statement, the Wali (governor) of Gezira State, Mohamed Tahir Aila, announced that the First Vice - President and National Prime Minister will launch the wheat harvest campaign at Gezira Scheme, inaugurate a number of development and services' projects at Greater Medani Locality and attend a conference of the National Congress in Gezira State and the conclusion of the Gezira State's Second Tourism and Shopping Festival.
He said that the visit is considered the first to Lt. Gen. Salih after his selection as the National Prime Minister.
Aila said that the First Vice - President and Prime Minister will also inaugurate the expansion of Medani - Khartoum highway, a railways line and two schools.
