Kuwait-based Arab Fund for Social and Economic Development (AFSED) and Jordan have initialled an agreement of USD 100 million easy loan to the Hashemite Kingdom.
The loan will be channeled to commercial banks and small financing institutions via Jordan Central Bank with the aim of supporting micro, small and medium-sized projects, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Ibrahim Saif said in a statement Monday.
Saif said Jordan and AFSED were discussing another USD 50 million easy loan for the same objectives.
The minister was quoted by an official statement as saying the Jordanian government had secured a USD 70 million in easy loan from the World Bank to support the development projects.
