Energy pricing and subsidy reforms, and latest regional and global financial developments will be the highlights of discussions at the second meeting of Undersecretaries of Arab Ministries of Finance, to be held by the Arab Monetary Fund, AMF, on 18th and 19th January in Abu Dhabi.

Top Arab financial officials will also discuss efficiency of public investments, tax policies and regimes, and application of value-added tax in the Arab countries. The meeting’s agenda also includes case studies of economic diversification strategies and policies in a number of Arab countries.

Dr. Abdulrahman Al Hamidy, Director-General Chairman of the Board, AMF, said the two-day financial forum would provide an important platform for sharing experiences, experiments and ideas as well as co-ordinating efforts about financial and economic reforms in the Arab countries.

The annual meeting will be chaired by Sudan and experts from the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund will attend as observers
