Algeria, Jordan Sign Pharmaceutical Partnership Agreement
Algiers - QNA

Algeria's Saidal group signed on Tuesday a partnership agreement with the Jordan-based Arab Company for Drug Industries and Medical Appliances (ACDIMA) to carry out bio-equivalence studies in Algeria, the official Algerian news agency APS reported.
According to the agreement, the two sides will create a joint venture to carry out "compliance studies of generic drugs with the original ones." The joint-venture, in which Saidal will hold a 60-percent ownership and Acdima 40 percent, will be "squarely independent" from Saidal for transparency reasons, the Algerian firm said.
Generic manufacturers in Algeria currently buy their pharmaceutical records in order to use them in the domestic drug production.
ACDIMA is a pan-Arab shareholding company established by a resolution from the Arab Economic Unity Council in 1976. It aims to build relations with multinational bodies to assist in setting up and participating in projects in the Arab World.
Saisal is an Algerian company founded by the government in 1982.
