Riyadh - Arabstoday

Water provision and road development projects worth SR 1 billion are progressing well in the governorates of Al-Kamil and Khulais, according to Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal. “I was honored to have met citizens who told me that the development projects were progressing rapidly,” the prince said in a press statement at the conclusion of his visits to the two governorates. “I am glad that the first batch of 170 students passed out at the branches of King Abdul Aziz University in Al-Kamil and Khulais,” the prince said. He had earlier attended the graduation ceremony of the students. The prince opened buildings that house divisions of King Abdul Aziz University in the governorates. He said the leadership wants to ensure proper development of these areas based on scientific studies. During the inspection tour, the prince also chaired the meetings of the councils of Al-Kamil and Khulais. He listened to the demands of the people in the presence of officials of the two governorates. The Makkah governor opened the new buildings for the traffic department and the cultural committee in Al-Kamil, which is an offshoot of the Makkah Literary Club. The prince ordered the two councils to provide reports within a month on stalled projects. The prince announced various projects to supply more water and build roads in the two regions. The projects inaugurated in Khulais include drainage for flood protection. Source: ArabNews
