Center promoting Chinese designs opens in London

A design center introducing emerging designs in China to Britain opened on Thursday in London. The center, named China Design Cneter, located in central London. It provided a permanent home to host exhibitions and events, aiming to encourage design excellence and enhance cooperation between designers in China, Britain and the rest of the world. "The main purpose of the center is to set up a platform for the cooperation between the designers of both countries," said the center's chief executive Qu Zheng. He said the center in London acted as an exhibition center for Chinese designs covering the fields of material, furniture, industrial design, architacture design and art craft. Meanwhile, an exhibition themed "Beyond Architecture" was being held at the newly opened design center.
