BBC's Talking Books starts today

BBC's Talking Books series is to start today on BBC 3. The series will be half hour, in depth, interviews with leading writers over the next six weekends on BBC World News and BBC News Channel. Episodes include a trip yo Egypt to talk to Alaa al Aswany and Nawal El Saadawi, both of whom have very interesting things to say about the upcoming elections and what has been happening in Egypt post the Revolution. The series also spoke to eminent authors Caryl Phillips; Justin Cartwright; Jeffrey Eugenides and Susan Hill.
