After a successful five-month presentation,
Abu Dhabi - Arab world

After a successful five-month presentation, the second major exhibition of works from the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi collection, 'The Creative Act: Performance, Process, Presence', came to a close on Saturday 29th July.

Featuring works by more than 25 artists from different nationalities and generations, the exhibition explored a transcultural perspective on defining aspects of contemporary art by highlighting interconnections among global artists working in various corners of the world since the 1960s through the related themes of performance, process, and presence.

Commenting on the exhibition, Saif Ghobash, Director-General of TCA Abu Dhabi, said, "The success of Guggenheim Abu Dhabi’s second major exhibition, 'The Creative Act', has been an inspiring insight into the strong and positive reaction to contemporary art in the UAE. It proved that the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi curatorial team has achieved the right interactive dialogue with the audience, moving one step ahead in defining its unique position within the urban and contemporary cultural fabric of Abu Dhabi."
