For the eleventh year in a row, Lebanon partakes in Cannes Film Festival with the participation of Tourism Minister, Michel Pharaon, who aims at promoting Lebanon as a location for filming international blockbusters as well as supporting local cinema.

Lebanese film director and producer Joana Hadjithomas is to be part of the Cannes Film Festival 2015 jury for both the Cinéfondation and Short Films competitions. Actress and director Nadine Labaki was also selected to be a member of the Un Certain Regard jury.

Lebanese short film, Waves '98, by Ely Dagher, has been selected to be in the run for best short film.
