Cisitalia 202 Coupe Concept

IED Turin Cisitalia 202 E concept Rome - Arabstoday The  original Cisitalia 202 Coupe (1948 – 1952) was a Pininfarina-styled Italian coupe which was regarded at the time as one of the most ground-breaking and advanced sports cars ever built.Now a group of students at the Istituto Europeo di Design of Turin (IED) are planning on trying to reanimate the Cisitalia 202 Coupe in time for the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The new Cisitalia 202 E concept will be a modern interpretation of the original car. The additional  “E” at the end stands for “Evolution”.According to IED Turin, the Cisitalia 202 E concept – “was intended to be a modern reinterpretation based on Cisitalia first 1947 proposal. The concept faithfully reflects the design of the historic vehicle, with dimensions and power aligned with modern times.”They added; “The lines and shape of the concept express typical refined, creative design “Made in Italy”, with an eye on the future of the brand.”The IED Turin Cisitalia 202 E concept will be professionally built by CECOMP, and the vehicle was developed with the help of Pirelli and OZ Racing.
