Zayed National Museum
Abu Dhabi - WAM

The Multaqa Zayed National Museum series continued on Wednesday 13th April with its second talk for the season at Manarat Al Saadiyat on Saadiyat Island.

Under the title ‘Music of a Nation: Cultural Harmony,’ the talk was led by Khaled Al Budoor, Researcher and Writer, Ibrahim Juma, Chancellor of Heritage Folk Art at the Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Centre, and Dr. Aisha Bilkhair, Research Advisor at the National Archives, who discussed how centuries of trade and migration helped shape and enrich Emirati culture that is particularly evident in traditional musical instruments, songs and other melodic performances.

Presented by Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, TCA Abu Dhabi, the Multaqa Zayed National Museum series will hold three additional panel discussions at Manarat Al Saadiyat over the coming months, with the next talk on Tuesday 26th April, 'Global Legacy: Sheikh Zayed’s Faith and Humanitarianism', 18th May, 'Language of the Land', and on 1st June, 'The Ancient Land of the UAE'.

Aiming to stimulate a deeper dialogue and strengthen the relationship between Zayed National Museum and its public, Multaqa Zayed National Museum provides an opportunity for all audiences to explore the richness of Emirati culture, and take part in shaping the national museum’s identity into a centre truly representative of the UAE.
