Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Makkah Region, affirmed that Madinah is holy to Muslims all over the world who wish to visit and pray at the Prophet's Holy Mosque in Madinah. In a statement on the occasion of selecting Madinah as the Capital of Islamic Culture 2013, the Prince noted that Madinah is the city where Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) migrated to it, and the site of Revelation, praising the recent project of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz for the greatest expansion of the Prophet's Holy Mosque which he described as gigantic and unprecedented in the History of the Mosque.
