Award distribution ceremony held in Bahrin

A ceremony was held today to distribute the 8th Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa Awards.The Children and Mothers Welfare Society hosted the event at its headquarters in Isa Town. Culture Minister Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa and Shaikha Aseel bint Khalifa Al-Khalifa attended the $10000 Award Distribution Ceremony."The eighth edition spotlighted the impact of social media on children and youngsters", Children and Mothers Welfare Society chairperson Shaikha Hind bin Salman Al-Khalifa said.In a statement to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), she stressed the importance of the topic chosen by Woman and Child information Centre in light of the recent development rocking the Arab World.Dr. Ola Abdulmonan swooped the first award, worth $5000, after conducting a research titled "Social Media and Future of Arab Girls – Riyadh Case Study"Bahrain Dr. Widad Al-Jowder has been awarded the third prize worth $2000, recognizing a study titled "Virtual Social Media Impact on Youth Real Life Social Relations in Bahrain.
