Nepalese army, soldiers carry an avalanche victim
Kathmandu - SPA

The search for trekkers still missing after a deadly snowstorm in central Nepal three days ago resumed early Friday.
Officials in the worst-hit Manang and Mustang districts said they had resumed the search to take advantage of better weather on the mountains in the early morning.
The storm killed at least 29 people, 12 of them foreigners, dpa reported.
On Thursday, about 133 people were rescued from Manang and Mustang. District officials said a total of 168 people were trekking when the storm hit on Tuesday.
It was hard to confirm exact figures because Nepali trekkers and local residents were not registered with the authorities, the officials said.
The snowstorm was triggered by Cyclone Hudhud in neighboring India which brought unexpected rainfall and heavy snowfall to parts of Nepal.
The worst-hit area was the Thorang La pass between Manang and Mustang districts, a popular trekking destination at an elevation of over 5,000 meters.
