Beijing - Xinhua

A cold front will continue affecting most regions in east China, bringing temperature plunges and strong wind, the National Meteorological Center (NMC) said Saturday. Central and eastern parts of northeast China and the Shandong Peninsula will be struck the most in the following 24 hours, with temperature drops up to 14 degrees Celsius, the NMC said on its website. Affected by the cold front, regions along the Yangtze, Huai and Yellow rivers will see temperatures fall by six to eight degrees Celsius as well as strong wind, the MNC said. ' The NMC forecast the cold air will also bring gales to eastern and southern sea areas. Meanwhile, northern and western parts of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region will experience snow and sleet, with some parts receiving snow as much as eight millimeters.
