Amur water level near Khabarovsk keeps at 808 cm

The level of water in the Amur River near Khabarovsk has not changed during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, remaining at 808 cm, as measured at 20:00, local time, on Tuesday, an official in the press service of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies (RME) regional center told Itar-Tass. RME sources are unable to say so far whether the water rising period is over. Several days ago, there was time when water level did not change for 10-12 hours, but then it began to rise again. The forecast for the highest water level near Khabarovsk remains unchanged:8 30 cm. The peak of the flood is expected to come about within the next three to four days. Water level near Komsomolsk-on-Amur on Wednesday is 833 cm, rising by 13 cm over the past 24 hours. According to the Khabarovsk Territory government the peak of the flood is approaching Khabarovsk. The highest rise of water is currently observed in the area of Komsomolsk-on-Amur where water level rises by 17-20 cm a day. The forecast is that water may rise up to 930-980 cm by September 11-15.
