
A 7.1-magnitude earthquake jolted Afghanistan at 6:28 p.m. Sunday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The epicenter, with a depth of 200 km, was monitored at 36.56 degrees north latitude and 71.31 degrees east longitude, the center said in a statement.
The center has earlier put the magnitude at 7.3.
