5.2 magnitude quake hits near New Zealand's Stewart Island

An earthquake measuring 5.2 has hit off the west coast of New Zealand's Stewart Island on Thursday morning. There were no reports of causalities or damages. The quake, which had a depth of 13 km, struck just before 8.30 a.m. on Thursday (1930 GMT Wednesday), according New Zealand government geological agency website GeoNet. There were a handful of reports of it being felt in South Island's southern city of Invercargill.
