Number of injured in Church blast rises to 49

The number of injured in the blast that occurred inside the Boutrosiya Church in Abbasiya earlier Sunday rose to 49, according to Health Minister Adviser Dr Sherif Wadie.
More than 25 ambulances are present in the vicinity of the blast to carry the injured who were rushed to nearby Dar El Shefaa, El Demerdash and the Italian Hospitals along with the bodies of the victims, he said.
Minister of Health Ahmed Emad Radi is currently visiting the injured at El Demerdash and Dar El Shefaa hospitals, he added.
The minister said in earlier statements that a state of high alert has been announced at all hospitals in anticipation of new cases
