Bomb defused in Arish, security measures tightened

An explosive device was defused Saturday in Arish city of North Sinai.
No casualties were reported.
Security bodies had received a report on a suspicious object found in an Arish district. the troops rushed to the scene and cordoned it off, while explosives experts examined the object and defused it.
Meanwhile, security measures were tightened on all main and side roads and fixed and mobile checkpoints were deployed.
Security sources said that all security measures taken to secure vital installations, entrances and exits of North Sinai Governorate were reviewed in conjunction with the launch of expanded security crackdowns in south of Arish, Rafah and Sheikh Zuweid.
