Zanetti set to move into third place

The Argentine veteran will make his 570th Serie A appearance if he features in Inter's league match at home against Siena on Wednesday evening.Inter midfielder Javier Zanetti will move into joint-third position in the Serie A appearance charts if he features in the Nerazzurri's league game against Siena on Wednesday.The 38-year-old Argentine has made 569 Serie A appearances for the Giuseppe Meazza side so far, and is expected to draw level with former Juventus goalkeeper Dino Zoff against Siena.The Argentina international still has a long way to go to break Paolo Maldini's record though. The AC Milan legend featured in 648 games in Italy's top flight.Number two, Gianluca Pagliuca, made 595 Serie A appearances for Sampdoria, Inter, Bologna and Ascoli during his active career.Zanetti joined Inter from Banfield in the summer of 1995, and has since made more than 750 appearances in all competitions for the Nerazzurri.
