London - Arabstoday

Inaki Tejada will remain in charge of Sporting Gijon until the end of the season, the La Liga club have announced. The 46-year-old was last week placed in temporary charge of the Asturians following the departure of Manuel Preciado. Tejada, who has spent his entire career with Gijon, oversaw Sunday's 1-1 draw with Osasuna and has now been told he has until the end of the campaign to prove his worth. A statement on the club's official website read: "The club has placed its confidence in Inaki Tejada to continue as first-team coach until the end of the season and he will receive our full support in the job he is doing." Gijon are currently one place off the bottom of the table and four points shy of safety. They play Valencia this weekend.
