Downing feeling at home with Liverpool

England winger feels that he has joined a 'good club with good people', insisting that he is happy with the way the Reds' squad is coming together at this stage of the seasonStewart Downing says he feels at home at Liverpool, having joined the club during the summer.The 27-year-old joined the Merseyside club during the summer, leaving Aston Villa after a sum believed to be in the region of £20 million had been agreed with the Birmingham-based club.The left-winger has since made eight appearances for the Reds in all competitions, helping the team to a positive start that now sees them occupy fifth place in the Premier League."It was easy to feel at home here with the lads," Downing told LFC Magazine."It's a good club with good people. There is a good group of players and they've all helped me."The former Villa wide-man is also happy with the way the current squad is gelling together as a team, after manager Kenny Dalglish strengthened his side by bringing in some new faces during the summer."It's a big part of football. If team-mates aren't getting on, then you don't tend to do well," said Downing."If you all do get on, then that can only help you when you step on the field. The boss is into it big and the players have been out for a few meals together."We're still a relatively new group. Some of the lads like Stevie [Gerrard] and Carra [Jamie Carragher] have been here since day one. A few others like Pepe [Reina] and Dirk [Kuyt] have been here a couple of years, then there's quite a few of us who have only arrived recently. There's a good mix."
