Mohamed Ben Hamou
Casablanca - Jamila Omar

The head of the Moroccan Center for Strategic Studies, Mohamed Ben Hamou, shed the light on faults of public administration, in terms of poor efficiency, governance and services provided to the citizen, through the royal speech, delivered by King Mohammed VI, on the 18th anniversary of his accession to the throne.

Ben Hamou stressed that the royal speech was a clear criticism of the administrative officials in the public sector, who do not perform their duties efficiently and responsibly and do not do their duty in the best way, as well as the shameful practices that led the youth to abstain from the elections and spoiled the political situation.

Mr. Ben Hamou also highlighted the king's call for the public sector to play its full role, stressing in a statement to Al Maghrib Today that the King also urged the application of the law to all officials without discrimination, and that there is no room for evasion of responsibility.

On the other hand, Ben Hamou said that the royal speech praised the important role played by the security forces in Morocco by ensuring security and stability, stressing that the king also stressed that the role of these forces can not be considered as a preference for the option of security approach, but only to ensure the continuation of security and stability for the homeland and the citizen. In another context, Ben Hamou stressed that the King pointed out in his speech to Morocco's adherence to the democratic gains achieved and the need to preserve them.
