H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, has issued a decision on the formation of the Supreme Local Organising Committee for the FIFA Club World Cup Abu Dhabi 2017-2018, under the chair of Major General Mohammed Khalfan Al Rumaithi, member of the council.
The resolution named Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Mohammed Ibrahim Al Mahmoud, Aref Hamad Al Awani, and Mohammed Hazzam Al Dhahiri as members.
Abu Dhabi won the right to host the FIFA Club World Cup for the years 2017 and 2018 to strengthen its partnership with the FIFA and continue its organisational success, especially it had successfully hosted the championship in years 2009 and 2010.
