Ankara - Xinhua

Mehmet Okur officially signed his annual contract with Turk Telekom Ankara (TTA), the Turkish big man will stay until the end of the NBA lockout, Turkish Anatolia news agency said Wednesday. "The agreement is until the end of the NBA lockout. Of course we hope he can stay for the entire season," Anatolia quoted TTA CEO's Gokhan Bozkurt as saying. "I promise I will give my best here as long as I will stay. I was really missing basketball and I am very hungry to play. I am very excited to be here and happy that also my former teammate at Jazz, Deron Williams, is going to play in Turkey," said Okur. Currently, Okur is also under contract with the Utah Jazz of the NBA, and can return to that team when the 2011 NBA lockout ends.
