England were facing defeat in the second Test against Pakistan as they reached 187-6 at lunch on the fifth and final day in Dubai on Monday.

Ben Stokes was unbeaten on nine and Adil Rashid was on eight as Pakistan need four more wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

Joe Root (71), Jonny Bairstow (22) and Jos Buttler (seven) were the batsmen out after England resumed at 130-3 on Monday.

England need 304 more runs for victory. The first Test ended in a draw in Abu Dhabi.
