Salt Lake City - UPI
Al Jefferson netted 28 points and hauled down 26 rebounds for the Utah Jazz Monday in their 123-121 triple-overtime victory over Dallas. The Jazz broke a two-game losing streak with the marathon thriller, using 24 points from Gordon Hayward and 23 from Devin Harris to scratch out the win. Paul Millsap contributed 16 points and DeMarre Carroll added 15 for Utah, which pulled to within a half-game of Phoenix and Houston for the eighth and final Western Conference playoff spot. Dirk Nowitzki pumped in 40 points for the Mavericks, but its wasn't enough to prevent their second straight loss. Jason Terry came off the bench to score 27 for Dallas.
