The 2011-2012 UAE Invitational Scratch Golf League, which began in November last year, is now coming to a fitting climax. Of the 24 original round robin matches involving 12 teams, seven matches remain, four in League A, two in League B and a dead rubber in League C. Leagues C and D have already confirmed winners — Al Badia Golf Club, Dubai, and Yas Links, Abu Dhabi, qualifying for the semi-finals where they will play each other. The other semi-final will be between the winners of League A and League B. Bob Driver, League co-ordinator, said: "This season's league is now taking shape. We congratulate our two qualifying clubs, Al Badia Golf Club, Dubai, and Yas Links, Abu Dhabi, and look forward to the results of the seven remaining fixtures to confirm the four semi-final teams.
