Yellow Submarine sink Vallecano, Levante win

Villarreal produced a complete performance to thrash Rayo Vallecano 4-0 and pick up their first Primera Division win in just under a month. Ikechukwu Uche knocked in the opener after 22 minutes, while Bruno Soriano extended the hosts' advantage shortly before half-time. Jonathan Pereira hit a third early in the second period and Jaume Costa added another ten minutes later, after Rayo defender Anaitz Arbilla had been given a straight red card. Levante are one place behind the Yellow Submarine in the league table after late goals from substitutes Angel and Andreas Ivanschitz earned a 2-0 victory over Valencia, who slip to ninth.
