South Korea triumphed over North Korea in the first round of the men's Olympic table tennis team competition on Saturday. In a close encounter, the South prevailed by three matches to one after Ryu Seung-Min beat Kim Hyuok-Bong in the third singles match. South Korea will play Portugal, 3-0 winners over hosts Great Britain, in the quarter-finals.
