Martinez insists Hugo Rodallega ‘must get back to his best’

The Colombian has yet to find the target this season, and with his contract coming to an end at the DW Stadium next year, the Spaniard has told him he needs to start scoring.Wigan manager Roberto Martinez has insisted Hugo Rodallega must 'get back to his best' after his recent goal draught for the Latics.The Colombian international hasn’t managed to ripple the back of the net this season, with the 26-year-old struggling to recover from a knee injury sustained in September’s meeting with Everton.With the striker's contract finishing at the end of the season, his Spanish boss has suggested the added pressure may be affecting his game, with the former Swansea boss keen for Rodallega to play a vital role in the club's battle for Premier League survival.Speaking to The Sun, Martinez said: “Hugo felt too much pressure to score goals and that was unfair. He now has to get back to his best and, when Hugo is back to his best, he can be a special player so we need him to get to that level."He's in the last year of his contract and sometimes that can put extra pressure on your performances. But all he needs to do is work hard for the team and everything will be taken care of."Individual situations are something that we work on and we try to be helpful to players so they can concentrate on their football.
