Loss effect? Man Utd to lose Hazard to City

Manchester United are going to feel the impact of their loss to Manchester City in pretty stark terms. As former United captain Roy Keane said on TV ahead of the Monday night derby – in football momentum is everything. That is also why United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been so dug-in-the-trenches about the title going to City. When he first lost it to a newcomer, Jose Mourinho  and Chelsea, it took him two years to get it back. However, what will worry United supporters is that players may not be keen to come to United. At least not if City is still an option. Eden Hazard was at the Etihad on Monday to watch Manchester City beat United. The 21-year-old winger is the most sought-after player in Europe. Hazard will quit French club Lille after this season and both Manchester want him. City manager Roberto Mancini has said in no uncertain terms that they are prepared to outbid any club for Hazard. Mancini's United counterpart Sir Alex Ferguson has also confirmed in the last few days that he has an interest in the player. The Mirror reported that City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak was aware of Hazard’s trip to Eastlands on Monday night, although it is unclear whether there was any contact between the two. "My objective is to go to the Premier League, because I have had my time in France," Hazard said. Arsenal and Tottenham are also in the hunt for his services.
